Fur tansu (Japanese chest of drawers) C1332

An old paulownia tansu (Japanese antique chest), remade.

The whole piece is finished in long-pile, voluminous faux fur.
The soft fur feels good to the touch, making this a unique tansu you can't help but stroke.

The shape of the antique tansu and its distinctive metal fittings are all kept as they are. Keeping the character of Japanese furniture while clad in black fur, it has been finished as a one-of-a-kind piece.

*Some photos look whitish depending on the light, but the actual piece is black.

We have done all we can to treat it, but due to the nature of the fabric, fine hairs may come off.
