Padauk burl low table C1286

A low table made from rare padauk burl.
A single board once used in an old zataku (Japanese low table) has been polished, and new legs have been made for the remake.
With densely packed, deep burl figure and natural edges all the way around, it is a heavy, thick, top-grade piece. The surging grain gives a sense of depth you could be drawn into, and the contrast between the red heartwood and the white sapwood is strong. It is truly a superb single board.
