A paulownia tansu (Japanese antique chest).
The front panels, with their dignified metal fittings and the beautiful grain of paulownia, are given a shine with a clear coat. The body was painted deep green and then polished to a smooth finish. In addition, harako (hair-on calf leather) is applied to the body as an eye-catching, distinctive accent.

Combining materials with different textures, it has been finished as an original tansu with outstanding presence.
