Paulownia kodansu (Japanese small chest) C0597

A small, easy-to-use paulownia tansu.
The whole surface was sanded to expose the bare wood, and color was sprayed on the lower part of the body.
It is finished to look as if the tansu had been dipped halfway into paint.

A pop little chest in which energetic red coexists with the dry grain of aged paulownia.
