Paulownia low sideboard Z0035-1

A light, lovable paulownia low sideboard.
It is made from the upper section of an old paulownia tansu.

The body is lifted on newly made legs, and the paulownia panels that were originally in the sliding doors have been changed to clear glass. The surface, deteriorated by age, was sanded to expose the bare wood and coated with a clear paint that keeps the texture of the material.
The drawer bottoms, which were noticeably damaged, have been replaced. The inside of the glass doors is painted pale pink, and the legs are finished with paint containing copper powder. The two-tone painting of the leg tips is a small point of interest.

While firmly keeping the paulownia tansu character, such as the shape of the body and the simple metal fittings, it has been finished with a light, lovable look.
