Japanese Cedar Yamagata Tansu B0222

A cedar yamagata-tansu (chest of drawers) distinguished by its cherry blossom-shaped circular metal fittings.
The large, round metal fittings adorned with cherry blossom and arabesque patterns are truly eye-catching.
The exquisite combination of the beautiful wood grain of the cedar flowing across the drawer fronts and the decorative metalwork gives this piece a commanding and dignified presence.

At our workshop, we have repaired damaged areas such as cracks in the wood. Following this, the entire wooden structure was sanded down to restore the surface, and then finished with a new coat of paint. The metal fittings were all removed, polished, and refinished. The movement of the drawers and doors has also been carefully adjusted.

Additionally, this chest comes with three of its original keys.
