Full moon kodansu (Japanese small chest) D0293

An old paulownia tansu, remade.
On the front is a circular decoration finished in fur.
Standing out against the black body, it looks just like a full moon.
Brass fittings, polished to regain their shine, tighten the overall impression.
Small, yet a piece with a remarkable presence.
