An antique kendon-bako (drop-front box).

The front sliding panel can be removed by lifting it upwards.

Although the specific history is unknown, the back of the sliding panel has notations regarding the number of volumes, including the date "January, 15th year of Meiji" (1882).

Inside, there are two fixed shelves and one drawer at the bottom once the front panel is removed.

Scratches, stains, and cracks due to age have been preserved to maintain their unique character.

Structural areas, such as loose joints, have been repaired.
