Tamamoku (round figured grain) todana (Japanese cabinet) B0273

A retro todana (Japanese cabinet) with beautiful grain and finely detailed decoration, applied in good balance.

The whole piece was sanded to expose the bare wood, and the inside, revealed when the double doors are opened, is painted in "red × blue". The drawers and doors have been adjusted.

Open the double doors with their gleaming tamamoku (round figured grain), and the contrast of the two colors that meets your eye has great impact. The rope-pattern carving around the doors, the metal fittings, the inlay and other fine details also give this cabinet a wonderful atmosphere.
