Horse herd wood carving B0937
[Please note: Because this item is fragile, it will be delivered by our own in-house delivery, and delivery is available only to Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba and Saitama.]
A powerful carving of a herd of nine horses galloping upward.
The nine-horse motif represents nine kinds of good fortune: luck in competition, wealth, career advancement, family, love, health, business prosperity, good fishing and harvests, and success in exams.
Because it expresses the idea that "everything goes well," it is read as the pun "umaku-iku" ("to go well") and has long been known as a lucky charm.
This item has only been cleaned. It has scratches and cracks that come with age. Also, because this is a carving in solid wood, new cracks may appear as the material shrinks or deforms.
