Paulownia kasanedansu (Japanese chest-on-chest) B1009

Many years have passed since this tansu was made, and the scratches and stains that came, unintended, from everyday life have been kept as part of its original design, sealed in a thick, clear coating.

The rich, characterful look that cannot be made artificially is left as it is, while the surface has been finished smooth and glossy.
